This is truly an accident. BUT don't point it like a weapon of else you will be mistaken for the enemy. It's just like during 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia, a lot of hotel even well-marked media centre were used by Serbian troops and as result civilian were killed then NATO got blamed for it despite the fact Serbian troops even hide civilians in there. This is something that most mainstream media don't report on.

Same right now what Gaddafi is doing to his citizens in Libya.

@AirForce194 They knew at whom they opened fire. This was the only hotel with journalists. This was a "MESSAGE" to the press that covered the invasion into the Iraq. Bush administration plus Obama's now make the U.S Army to look/act like assasins and disgrace the word "Freedom" and all the people who have to do with the army and believe to such words like HONOR and DIGNITY. @AirForce194 they're in a TANK, a sniper presents no immediate danger to them. even firing in defense of other ground troops is wholly insupportable since the Palestine hotel was well and clearly defined as an area crowded with not only foreign, but american journalists and civilians.

Firing on such a locale with a high explosive warhead is just plain careless. How such a gross failure of either communication, command, or simple humanity could occur is outright appalling.
