Michael Albert is an American activist, economist, speaker, and writer. Here he discusses how activists can move beyond single issue movements and present a broader challenge to capitalism. Michael Albert is co-ordinator of ZNet, and co-editor and co-founder of Z Magazine. He also co-founded South End Press and has written numerous books and articles. He developed along with Robin Hahnel the economic vision called Participatory Economics or Parecon.     Stop it with the we are the 99%; you're not. The 99% includes cops, soldiers, bank managers, political representatives and the rest of the petit-bourgeoisie. If you were the 99%, the cops would be on your side and not macing old ladies and pregnant women.
