@DeathNest94 A wheel fiddle

Interesting instrument. I have heard this instrument in Led Zeppelin's music quite often, and other songs too. From what I can see, the knob that is turned acts like a bellows to power out the sound it makes. Are there different versions of this instrument that have a combination of strings and pipes? Thanks for the video.

yes a lot of pearl,its made by Pimpard, in the 19th century, we re-rimmed the wheel without taking off the front, lots of hands and a giant jubilee clip,

How do you control that cool buzzing sound?

@jessiesherman look at his right hand and you might catch the flick of the wrist, you can learn the different rhythms if you have a book on the playing, in france its called the Coup,

Thanks Grey9man, it was Nigel Eaton who was playing Hurdy-gurdy with led Zeppelin, He was with a band called Blozabella, his Dad Chris made his instrument when he was 14, the wheel is a kind of violin bow stuck fast to the knob so when you rotate it it plays the strings continuous creating that bagpipe drone effect, there was an instrument with an actual mini organ pipes set built in with a bellows operated with the same wheel, you can see the inside of that if you look up Vielle Organistrum,
