Dude, the larynx is also not sterile - and if you manage to get as far as the bronchial bifurcation without realising you're in the wrong place, you shouldn't be doing an NGT!

Im am 13 now but when i was twelve i had an illeostomy (i still have it) and i had an emergency surgery ehich caused me to get this and they put in a 16 mm tube wich is the biggest one because that is all they had all of the time and it hurt a lot thry couldnt get it in the first time or the second time either but they had to keep it for my emergency flight to the hospitol and its the 2nd most hurting thing that i have experienced in my life.

@jlh945 were u asking what was the purpose of this procedure?if yes,this procedure is to make sure ur gastric juice ok,ur gaster ok,taking out any poison u drank if u wanna suicide urself.there's a lot of function of this procedure.those were some function of it
