Battojutsu with Threadgill Sensei of the TSYR

I've traveled the world practicing martial arts and visit Japan regularly in my profession. I can say without reservation this man is among the top tier. This is Toby Threadgil, kaicho of Takamura ha Shindo Yoshin ryu. Sensei Threadgill was one of the senior students of Yukiyoshi Takamura and as far as I know is the only non-Japanese to lead an authentic Nihon koryu. I was fortunate to visit his dojo in Evergreen, Colorado twice in 2010.

He has been kind enough to allow me to post this footage which I shot on my new Canon D5 during my last visit. I was honored to assist him in the production of a video record he was shooting for his students on the battojutsu of TSYR. His technique is amazingly fast and clean. Enjoy!
