Anacapa Bob lands on the beach with giant Baqueta

This is from a trip to Rancho Leonero resort in 2004. Anacapa Bob lands a giant baqueta off shore at about 300ft depth. This is Bob's beach landing and unveiling of the monster fish.

Four mile's out, then put the fish in the hatch and keep fishing. Sounds like you should just take a pic and let it go. There goes the whole idea of fresh fish. Lets see there are about 65 people in our club that do it all the time. If we are after smaller fish we use a CFS kayak fish bag.

we dont drag our fish in the water in mex or california, too inviting for sharks....and it sure tasted fresh to me. the fish came up from about 350 ft depth so it was pretty much done and releasing was not an option. fish bags may work for you guys fishing the fresh water...but its not too smart dragging fish in the water when your in sharky areas in california and mex. ever had a sea lion attack a fish you have hanging from your yak? its not too pleasant.

close to a pod, a large dolphin stood up and showed me his teeth in a jawing motion, I didnt go any closer.

A CFS Kayak bag is made primarily for saltwater fishing, it does not drag in the water, it attaches to the front of the kayak. I primarily fish from the surf to 4 miles out and have done so for about the last twenty years. If that is how you want to do it then do it, no big deal.
