In fact, what he really wants us to do is to understand how passive solar, site orientation, landscaping and vegetation, and a change in how we think about energy, can save us money, preserve the environment, and live more comfortably.

The first time Alex and I met was because I had finished my EcoBroker certification, and realized I had a new way to help people. I sought out a new path to get to know the people behind what I believed to be good work in the Boulder housing community.

One of the projects I looked at was called Solar Village. It's a development actually out in the north eastern part of Boulder County in an area called Prospect. There are many really cool things that Alex did with Solar Village, and it intrigued me to want to get to know him. So guess what I did; I just looked him up and went over to his office.

What I found was someone who, like me, has a desire to bring great solutions to home buyers who are looking to learn more about, and embrace green building techniques.
