Here are two funny songs performed by the most glamorous Diana Dors.
Diana Dors (1931 - 1984) was a British actress. She was born in Swindon, England, as Diana Mary Fluck. She was considered the British equivalent of the blonde bombshells of Hollywood, but many consider she also had significant acting ability, which was destined never to be fully utilised.
Dors never had quite the same following in the U.S., but recently has made a comeback due to her films having been shown on classic movie channels. She also worked under the name of Diana d'Ors.
When she died in 1984, she left a mark on popular culture; the "50's blonde bombshell look" popularized by Dors, Jayne Mansfield and Marilyn Monroe had a tremendous impact on current stars such as Madonna or Christina Aguilera.
But Diana Dors was also a fine singer who made one LP ("Swingin' Dors") considered as "lounge".
Listen to this sample of her art and enjoy!

  • Tonight was the first time I heard of or seen Diana Dors and I don't understand why. She is drop-dead gorgeous. Stunning. I'm no movie critic, but I just watched The Unholy Wife (1957)and was drawn to this woman. I've seen worse movies but I thought her acting (at least in this film) was on par with other top actresses of her time. Next time I hear people discussing Monroe, Mansfield, and others, I will bring up Diana Dors. 54 years later she made a new fan.

  • At 15 yrs old I thought her tits looked perfectly normal...better than average, but normal. Now it's sheer Camp. I love you Diana wherever you are!

  • Women of the new generation can learn a thing or two from 1950s gals, women these days.....its a sad site lol.

  • Had not realised she had such a great voice!!

  • Thank you for posting this-she was truly a class act and beautiful !!!! RIP Dianna!!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL U ARE AMAZING....

  • Loved Diana Dors what a talent and from what I've heard a lovely lady.

  • Beautiful thank you

  • It's worth mentioning that the arrangements were written and the band conducted by the excellent and well-known (at the time) Wally Stott. If you've never heard of him, it's because he underwent a sex change, went to the USA and carved out an equally successful career as Angela Morley, dying earlier this year (2009). A great talent. Probaly his most successful composition was 'Cat from Coos Bay, written in 1954.
