This will teach you how to create a simple button (with a simple background included), and link it to another frame in your project on Adobe Flash CS4 or CS5, as long as you are using Action Script 2.0

CODES:-

Put on the button the following code:-

on (release) {
gotoAndPlay (2);
}

substitute the 2 for any frame number to link to.

Frame Code below:-

stop();

Use only if you DON't Want the frame to continue playing the next frame!

  • I typed in the code and it stayed on Scene1. What is wrong?

  • @AllTechDude It should stay on Scene 1 - you are trying to link to another FRAME not another SCENE (I have PM'd you on YouTube).

  • you have a mic, did you know there is this wonderful thing around these days? It's called TALKING.

  • @daguyhuluvsvids Sorry. I will update my Flash videos by re-doing them and put talking in them :D

  • What are you, 8? Look at your drawing, it sucks like shit! Thumbs down!

  • @Microchip360 Shut up, alright, cos I did this ages ago. You look at my newer tutorials, much better quality.
