  • The Santa Maria is in Barcelona. Ok so its too small to be a galleon?

  • This is not a spanish galleon. It is a caravel. Columbus didn't have galleons. The Spanish galleons were very big and heavy ships, because had great load capacity, but rather also had to take more than 2000 people and were totally armed

  • que no que es carabela

  • Naos and galleons did have a forecastle and a poop deck, but galleons didn't exist yet during Columbus travels, they appeared during the 1510s or 1520s. Galleons were longer than naos and were bigger. They were the fist ship to carry a full battery of guns all along the ship in a main deck under forecastle and poop deck.

  • This is not a galleon, neither a caravel. Is the replica of a nao (particularly nao Victoria, the flagship of Ferdinand Magellan during his 1521 expedition, which resulted with the death of Magellan and the first global circumnavigation, ended by Juan Sebastián Elcano). The naos existed more than a hundred years before the galleons, they were smaller than galleons but bigger than caravels.Caravels didn't have a forecastle and a poop deck.

  • @themailman43 This is a carrack (Nau) more large. The Caravel have triangular(for the most), not quadrangular(or "round") velas.

  • This is definetely not a galleon. It's called a Caravel and they existed many years before the galleons. This ship looks like the Santa Maria, one of the three caravels sailed by Columbus to the new world.

  • This is a nao, the Nao Vicotira. It was travel around the world with Magallanes and Juan Sebastian Elcano. This isn´t a galleon. You can a galleon search "galeon andalucía" in this website. Sorry because my poor English, I am a student.

  • I confirm. It's the Nao Victoria. The first ship sailing around the world. It's neither a carvel nor a carrack, and of course, it's not a galleon. It's a Nao, a ship a little bit bigger than a carvel designed in Spain and Portugal for Atlantic sailing.

  • @ARMOROID5000 You are retarted.

  • es una carabela!
