I have a Flyback that I am driving with a true 55w CFL cicuit. The flyback is the type with an output cap. I am using the integrated primary and have concerns about if the voltage is to high for the flyback. How could I measure it and then reduce it? I am confused about turns ratio for CC drivers. And I keep arching from my secondary to the ferrite which is pissing me off. I've stopped playing til I can resolve the voltage question. I have access to university equipment. Thanks for the help :)

Yo man, what's your primary? 5+5? I'm rebuilding my zvs for an x-ray tube since every other attempt failed, I've succeeded obtaining 15-20 kilovolts from 32-35vdc with IRF540s, now I have a 36vac (50vdc) 400VA supply ready, I hope I'll manage to crank at least 40 kilovolts with heck of a current. lol

@TheReal1inflater Default primary is 5+5, you may also try 4+4 (depends on your capacitor)

@pekarj thanks. I'm expecting to go low on capacitance, something like 330n... a 275v MKP should do the trick, MKT ones do heat up quickly and the others are pretty shitty. Nice hell of a flyback of yours, these types we call the Mother of All Flybacks, cause these types are usually really sturdy.

@TheReal1inflater BTW, letmo som mrknul tvoj web a mas to v podstate dobre zdokumentovane - napriklad malo ludi vyuziva ochranne iskrisko a potom sa vsetci cuduju preco im to páli trafa... Kazdopadne so ZVSkom som sa "hral" tak pred 4 rokmi :) vrchol bol ked som vymenil MOSFET-y za IGBT, vyhrabal som fajnové WIMA kondenzátory a ako zdroj slúžilo trafo zo záložného zdroja 800W s ktorym by sa dalo aj zvarat.
