@air03031989 I don't think you are a music student, nor a student of UP. You can't distinguish which one (Sandy or Regine) sang the song at a higher key. Regine is good, but don't claim something that she is not.

Sandi's version is higher than Regine's. She uses her headtone to reach the high notes, though. The original version is still the best but Regine also made an equally heartfelt interpretation of the song live, displaying her beautiful and sublime legato and of course, her powerful chest voice. Both versions cannot be duplicated by other singers. *smile*

@air03031989 FYI: Regine is NOT a coloratura soprano. She doesn't even claim that. The term "soprano" only applies to classical singers, which Regine is not. And I know Regine. Also, Sandi's high notes are NOT in sung in a falsetto register. I don't know if there's anything wrong with your sound system, but that was a full soprano register. And, no, soprano register is different from falsetto just as it differs from belt. And I studied at RCM.
