The Zune is one of the best pmps around. Is the Zune holding you back from making the big switch? Have no fear. Using Virtualbox, you can sync your Zune in Linux! This is just a demonstration. You should be able to figure it out yourself with all the hints to point you in the right direction.

FYI, you have to use the non free Virtualbox. Download it on the official website. The one in Ubuntu's Repos is the free one.

  • My Zune HD is still going strong, and I miss using it after I installed Linux a half a year ago. I do have a Win partition, but I can't stand to even see Windows anymore. This was the only thing keeping Windows on my machine and now I'm confident enough to delete the partition.

    By Windows!

  • The idea of working on Linux is stop using Windows or Mac OS. Because of this linux is useless. IT sucks!! Instead of installing XP on a virtual machine I could install it natively.

  • I personally prefer VMware because for legacy Windows products its has better performance under Linux than VirtualBox.
