this piano isnt a very good one for performances, the hands are blocked by those walls on the sides. people have that strange need to see the hands of the pianist...

Utter nonsense. Better that concert halls ban closed-minded listeners than these fine leaders of contemporary composition.

It's one of Steinway's special art cases, this one in an art deco style: "in honor of legendary Steinway artist George Gershwin. Crafted in tribute to the 100th anniversary of his birth, the piano is dyed in brilliant blue and over 400 mother-of-pearl stars have been hand cut into the piano and inlaid in random fashion. The plate is gilded in silver to give the impression that the piano is emanating light when it is opened." This video doesn't allow you to see it though.

John Adams is definitely the greatest composer alive today, His music moves me like no other
"John Adams is an Artist, Philip Glass is a Buddhist."

agreed, adams style is much more expressive and moving. Adams' music is also more complicated rhythmically and harmonically. Philip glass just uses a minor key with its relative major and plays 2 notes over and over again. John Adams is an Artist, Philip Glass is a Buddhist.
