you know, asians aren't better than others at all, but they're so many and they are forced by their parents to do things they don't want, so of course they will be able someday to do somthing good. i'm quite sure that an african can be as good as an asian if he's trained by an asian father. anyway, from all the asians pianists I listened to on youtube I think only yundi li is a true talent.

Although an admirer of Evgeny Kissin, his interpretation of this waltz is highly questionable. The brutality of the opening would have horrified Chopin who detested pianists striking the keys too strongly. Kissin is a pianist with considerable technical abilities and very self-confident. He is usually up to the task with demanding pieces. The more demanding, the better. But here is a piece not very difficult that requires a more poetical tone. That could explain why his performance is excessive.
