"Like I Love You"

This is my husband, Clay :) On Saturday night we both had our guitars out and I told him he should record a video on here. He wrote the lyrics to this song a year ago and a friend of his wrote the music. We had to do a long distance relationship for 2 years (he was in Taiwan) and he wrote this for me while he was gone and sent it to me on a tape. I'll post the words but most of the situations won't make sense to you because he wrote them about experiences we had together. The first verse = 1st date, 2nd verse = 2nd date.

I can't find the arena but you don't care (side note: We were going to a hockey game one night and he got completely lost and frustrated)

I could leave my hand on the glass all night (I lived in a dorm and past hours guys weren't allowed in the lobby so at the end of our dates he'd drop me off at the lobby door and we would hold I Love You signs with our hands on the door before he left. We're so cheesy)

So I kick a tree, and down it goes (I always wanted to be kissed while it was snowing. SO when there was snow in the trees and we were together he would push trees to make snow fall so he would have an excuse to kiss me)

I am 9 months older than him. I am 22, he is 21 (22 in July) so to the rest of the world I guess we're a bit young but we are LDS and in that culture it is totally normal. When you find the person you want to spend eternity with you get married. We dated for 3 years beforehand with 2 of them being long distance. I mean, 2 years we couldn't see each other, talk on the phone or even e-mail. Purely 2 years of letters And we lasted. I'd say we're pretty rare and totally in love! So we got married!
