@stormcentertv I think the biggest I had personally seen was around 12-15 ft coming through Superior Entry. The biggest I operated a boat in was probably 10 ft.

@stormcentertv I've seen waves almost touch the lift bridge, and have operated a boat in 8-10 ft waves. Lake Superior waves are much different than ocean waves. A 10 ft wave on Superior is literally 10 ft wind chop.

2 Yrs prior was bigger . #3 ft crests holding down the "pier" to the bridge. Spray freezing to canal park drive by the "toga" wind buffeting my 25950#lb wrecker like it was a honda civic.. UghlEEE! have vid on myspace and youtube that day.

Spectacular waves! I've never seem them so large in the Canal Park area.
While stationed with the Coast Guard in Duluth, we used to go out in the 44 foot motor lifeboat and train for surf rescues in storms like this. Great video.
