Accolades: David is currently the visual caption head at Air Academy, Legend and Arapahoe High Schools in Colorado. In 2004 David began instructing and designing for Air Academy High School, located on United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During his tenure they have been named as the 2007 and 2008 4A State Marching Band Champion winning visual and general effect captions. Air Academy has never placed lower than 3rd since 2004. In 2006 and 2007 Air Academy was named a finalist and AA class champion at the BOA regionals in Texas and Arizona. Since starting at Arapahoe HS in 2006 the Warrior band has become a perennial 5A State finalist placing has hi as 2nd. While maintaining an active schedule teaching, David designs and writes drill for several HS bands, percussion ensembles and Winter Guards. He very active in the winter guard arena, David serves as assistant Director of Alchemy Winter Guard. Alchemy is a 7 time RMCGA Champion, 4 time WGI Regional Champion, 2 time WGI Semi-finalists, 1 time RMCGA Silver Medalist and 1 time WGI Finalist. David is an active judge for RMCGA.
