Pokemon Heart Gold Shiny Starter - 1817 soft-resets; 5451 starters

The low SR count made this worthwhile... I got the game on March 27, spent all weekend soft-resetting, then on the 29th (Monday, 5:50 PM), I had only SRed for half an hour when this shiny appeared. I got my LEAST favourite starter... that's the bad news. It has a Serious nature (neutral), which I don't mind for an in-game Pokemon. As for its IVs, they're very impressive for a shiny:

HP - 25, Atk - 21, Def - 31, Sp.Atk - 29, Sp.Def - 6, Speed - 23... all good except for the Sp.Def.

So anyway, I'll use this shiny along with a traded Totodile (I had hoped for that to be the shiny) as my main Pokemans to play through HG with. There might be a shiny Ho-Oh video coming up if that goes well...

As for why I don't like Chikorita... that's simply because it's a pure Grass-type. Seriously, the first and second gyms are for Flying and Grass-types... the 4th Gym leader's Pokemans all resist Grass, as do the 6th... and I haven't even mentioned Kanto. It must be the game's way of saying "Don't choose the Grass starter... it sucks." But I'll take good care of this shiny nonetheless.
