I know, hard drives are so ridiculous. I just need a $50 dollar hard drive brand new, but now it's $150 and rising. Geez, I am on a tight budget, so I was forces to buy a $50 recertified hard drive from newegg.com. In my opinion, it's plain stupid to base all or most the manufacturing capacity of hard drives in Thailand!!!

It's not flooding. those places are sinking under the ocean.

Yea, I was going to by a 2.5" sata6gb 750gb 16mb cache 7200rpm for $99 , a 2.5" sata 1tb 5400rpm 8mb cache for $105, and an external 3tb 7200rpm for $125 back in early October ( 2months ago) . Those prices are just a dream now, wish I had done it when I had the chance!!!! Damn. Oh, if we had but world enough and time..........................

ssd is nothing but a waste of money for the storage space

@cummings4409 No it's not. It's well worth the cash. You obviously have never used a pc with a nice SSD and Cpu...

@misterpc23 For mass storage it would still be cheaper to get a hard drive over ssd unless you are one of the idiots that would pay hundreds of dollars more so your computer starts up 2 seconds faster.

@STRIKER520 For sizes over 120gb yes, it would be cheaper to get a HDD. But quantities smaller than that it's better to get an SSD. It's not boot times that you notice the most. It's the responsiveness of the entire system.

@evsidewinder2 You could go with an SSD for now and keep your programs limited until they drop back down.
