Penn and Teller reveal that Mahatma Ghandi was a racist, Mother Teresa a religious zealot who was happy to see the poor suffer, and that the Dalai Lama is not as squeaky clean as he seems.

  • @some1udontknow84 Okay I apologize then, I was mislead in the video. It seemed like P& were being far more critical of them then they needed to be, though.

  • @KeusFrench and penn and teller are telling those people to stop giving these 3 their auras.

  • @some1udontknow84 Yes but none of the three figures ever said that they were holier than anyone - people have given them those auras.

  • @KeusFrench lol the whole point of this vid was to expose the "holier than thou" view of these people as false, not just to demonize them. The whole point was to show that they were just regular humans, not saints. I love how you defend Mother Teresa, Mahatma Ghandi and the Dalai Lama by stating the exact same claim that this video is trying to make.

  • All Penn and Teller have showed the audience is that Mother Teresa, Mahatma Ghandi and the Dalai Lama are humans. That they aren't perfect and make mistakes.

And so what? There are tons of people out there who do worse than them. But at least they did try and achieve something, at least they personified genuine qualities. I'd like to see other people do that instead of blaming, accusing, sitting on their butts doing nothing.

  • RIP Christpher Hitchens :'(

    Seemed harsh.

    >:-I

  • @Angaraman first time I've disagreed with a P&T:BS though.

  • okay, this one I have a problem with because their attitude towards the Dalai Lama is based on a *could*. All the stuff that was on the Chinese side of their giant scales is DEFINITELY there, present and accounted for, even if the Chinese communist party aren't actually being held accountable for it. To counterbalance it with a "maybe" is unfair.

  • this is the best....Just the best
