Chrono Trigger - Dual Character Low Level Challenge - Lavos Spawns

It's time to go get Crono back, but before we do that, we have to kill three Lavos Spawns. I decided to fight them with three different parties. The first battle was by far the easiest, and the second by far the hardest, but not very difficult. I used Magus in the third battle to see if his level would make any significant difference, but it didn't. His high HP obviously helps, but he doesn't deal a lot of damage with his scythe.

In other words, I didn't fight Magus, but I have a file back there, so I'm gonna give it a try sooner or later.

I think there is only one spot where you can get Magus and it's before most of the side quests. I think anyway. I played Chorno Trigger YEARS ago and I remember that you have a narrow gap to get Magus.
