Jomtien Beach Seafood Indulgence

Jomtien Beach is a two hour bus ride away from bustling Bangkok.

The beach front offers deck chairs and umbrellas and a passing parade of food vendors offering everything from hamburgers to fresh seafood. The weekends are particularly busy but great for people watching.

My favourite beach food is the BBQ'd squid but the crab and fresh water shrimps are also not too bad. Not to mention the steamed peanuts, sweet corn and fresh fruit that can be purchased from the endless stream of food vendors that pass by.

SangSom and soda, in a long glass with plenty of ice is a perfect accompaniment to seafood on Jomtien Beach.
