You make it sound like staying up until midnight is hard... What about those who stay in line for Black Friday? Besides, game midnight releases go by fast. You can show up at 11:30 PM and still get a copy depending where you buy it.

I never said it was hard to stay up but you have to admit it's not everyday you decide to leave your house at night to wait in line for something. Plus, Black Friday happens every year and most big box stores feature them so it's not really comparable to one game being released at a handful of retailers at midnight. Plus, unlike Black Friday, there was no big discount for early buyers of ODST...so to leave home, wait in line and buy a game at full price shows how much you are excited about it.

Actually, having now played Halo 3 ODST, I would have to agree that it is far from a great game...that being said however...a short wait of an hour every couple of years for a game you like isn't so bad, if you think about it. I mean, people regularly wait a long time for movie tickets or an open table at restaurants and I wouldn't label them as having "no life"...all about perspective! Thanks for the comment.
