@porchasus "We were on a break" is when Ross and Rachel were dating, but Ross kept getting mad because Rachel was spending so much time on her job. Rachel said that they should take a break from dating for a while, and Ross was so devastated that he slept with a woman at a bar. Then Rachel found out and wouldn't take him back, denying that they were on a break, even though they were.
