I don't think masculine men sit around ripping apart a girl's reputation. It's gossipping, and to watch men do it is deplorable. But the fact of the matter is that they're not men, but BOYS.
What does it say about the boys' sense of their own self-worth if the only thing they dislike about this girl is that SHE made it with THEM? The boys really think of themselves as dirt, not the girl, they're just projecting THEIR lack of self-esteem onto HER.
