The Judkins Neighborhood of Seattle is bisected by the westernmost span of Interstate 90, the longest interstate highway in the U.S. As part of the final construction of this piece of freeway, many parks and athletic fields were established throughout the neighborhood. There has been a lot of other development and change, including the establishment of the NW African American Museum at the former Colman School and Bradner Gardens Park, both of which resulted after many years of community activism. The Judkins Neighborhood also includes many housing opportunities and views, and is close to downtown Seattle.
