"God Save the Queen" is the Commonwealth Anthem and therefor is to be played on ANZAC and Remenberance Day. the Union Jack is also ment to be flown, few dont but many do.

The Australia Act- stipulated in the 80's that God Save The Queen is only sung/performed in the presence of a direct "visiting" member of the Royal Family.
As for Saluting, bowing etc it is voluntary, this also applies in the UK- hope this helps.

Because it's not an official anthem of Australia. NZ soldiers might though, because God Save the Queen is still an official anthem of NZ, along with God Defend NZ.

quiet sad that the aussie's dont really honor the NZ in ANZAC...as much as we dont want to sing the australian national anthem at our dawn service on anzac day, we do out of respect. as our grandfather's faught and died side by side.
