I hate to say this because I'm an atheist as well, but your example of the physics text book that says gravity doesn't exist is logically flawed. I can't think of the fallacy, but just because its wrong about one thing doesn't mean it won't have the proper equations and theories for other components of physics. It does discredit the books authority on the subject though.

point taken. i forget how i worded it in the video, but it would be correct to assume that if a textbook made a blatantly erroneous statement then the rest of the material would be suspect (while still possibly correct).

Brett Keane says he knows more about the Bibles than Christians and that Christians don't read the Bible. The Old Testament has almost nothing to do with the New Testament. One is the story of Israel; the other is the story of Jesus and early Christianity after his death. So if a Physics book says gravity doesn't exist, do you then doubt your math or chemistry book?

Phrenology works very well. I'd say test it yourself instead of blindly following what is copied and copied. The church had a big hand in making phrenology ridiculous, because it would prove the thoughts are seated in the head. The thing is: it works, and has predictive value.

the PROOF of the BIBLE is "PREDICTION" IT is PROVEN by it's HISTORY, in Daniel(example) it fortells the future of Revelation, and even predicts JESUS CHRIST coming, "to HEBREW calendar DATE"... it actually gives up the approximate time of the beginning of the 7 Years Tribulation. so if your an athiest, check it out. your personal "PSYCHIC" is the BIBLE. neat eh??

I'd like examples. When atheists say that they can quote passages of scripture which are wrong and discredit the rest of the bible, why don't they give specific examples of what those passages are? I can guarantee that every single one will have a logical explanation.

The guy who said OT and NT are nothing to do with each other is bizarre ... they cannot be read separately as every later part of the bible references earlier parts!

Saying that the two books are different means you HAVEN'T READ the Christian scriptures. The Christian scriptures, or "New Testament" is NOTHING without the OT. It's BASED ON the OT.

If I wrote a psysics book that was BASED ON a book that claimed that gravity didn't exist, we can comfortably dismiss this book as well.
