Bull McCabe (Richard Harris) has single handedly nurtured a field of rock into a verdant pasture. It is his life. But now the Field is to be sold by public auction. When an American (Tom Berenger) bids for the land against Bull, he gets more than he bargains for. Bull's obsession with holding onto his land threatens to destroy everything he holds dear. The stage is set for a fearful confrontation.
Richard Harris received an Oscar nomination for his performance in one of the most powerful and critically acclaimed films of the year. The multi-award winning team of 'My Left Foot' have done it again.

This is a phenomenal movie and Richard Harris a phenomenal actor. To this this day I maintain he should have won the academy award for his portrayal of Bull McCabe. In this film he is King Lear and, in this final scene, Cuchulain in Cuchulain's Fight with the Sea by William Butler Yeats. This is a film of mythic proportions.

I first saw this film on Sky movies about 20 years ago. I had always wanted to see it again, now I have and it was worth the wait. Very poignant !!!

@igohomerocks same, were studying it for our junior cert. i'm in the feild for our school play. and i was out yesterday when we watched this part, so i looked back here on youtube, i kinda laughed at the cows doing flips off the cliff though. :P good film and play.
