actually its recommended to start on a small hill.

when i get them im going to go down a hill because i skate and i have balence

Yeah, watch videos of guys on the flatland, then go out and mimic all of their moves like turning, which if you can carve, should be easy, and pumping on flat to build momentum. Momentum builds speed and allows you to stay up on the flat. When I was learning to pump on the flat, I would walk myself along a wall or car and first get the motion down, prob. the hardest part, and then, at the car, try using my feet to build speed. I did that until I was comfortable with it on the flat. Good Luck!

i can carve down hills no problem, its when i get to flat ground that i just suck. any tips for when im on flat ground?
