So THAT'S what that little doohickey is for! I knew it had to be related to wrapping up the cord but it never worked for me.

I am embarrassed to say that I've had these headphones for a couple of years and NEVER figured out how to use the pink thing-a-ma-bob. (it has come in handy as a weapon in rubber band shoot-outs, though).
