  • I think "Why" is missing from the question words. Is it special or was this just a mistake?

  • Oh.... You're the only one who has noticed. That's a mistake. Why is MIKSI

  • And what is "how" in Finnish? I am just starting to learn but I love it already because your videos make it less scary!! Thanks so much.

  • How could be kuinka or miten :)

  • @Sulkasiipi Olet tehnyt erittäin hyvää työtä! :D

You have made very good job! :D

  • Ei pahalla, mutta itse suosin sanakirja . org. Se perustuu suomen- ja englanninkieliseen Wikisanakirjaan, mutta mielestäni se on luotettavampi kuin esimerkiksi Google Kääntäjä. Ja se tukee monia kieliä. :)

No offence, but i prefer myself sanakirja . org. It is based on the Finnish and English Wiktionarys, but in my opinion it is more reliable than, for example, Google Translator. And it supports many languages. :)

  • @Simpson654 THERE'S ALSO THE FINNISH LETTER Y, THAT SOUNDS LIKE "EW" IN FLEW OR SOMETHING LIKE THIS, THE LONG Y IS "YY"

  • @Centaurian0190

Yeah, I don't think there's a short version of Ö in English. The sound in "cat" is just as ä in King's English, but always remember that Ö is just as short. "Ea" in "Earth" I've used, but it's just as short as "cat." And if you don't pronounce the words with the right vowels, you might get misunderstood. Long vowels and consonants are doubled in writing, so "tuli", "tuuli", and "tulli" are wholly different words with wholly different meanings. Fire, wind, toll.

"Kui (varte)", "mink tähre" in the south west, "miks, miksi, miten vai", etc. in the east. Anyway, people will settle for "miksi" all over Finland because it's the standard. Having lived only 250km away from my hometown in mid-Finland, they did not understand "kui" there. Well, they did understand it as a silly word for "why?" and when I asked "kui varte?" they held back their laughter and said that it's Turku dialect.

  • google translate is better=google kääntäjä on parempi

  • Ä is like in ''cat'' and Ö is like in ''curl''

  • Tää o joku Astrid Thorsin tytär saatana.
