  • Then you did it wrong. I knew this technique from before and I told my friend to use all his strength to choke me. I hit both his ulnae nerves (you are supposed to hit them although the video doesn't say) and he buckled and dropped to his knees. He had no chance of retaining his choke and his posture. If it is important I am a 3rd Kyu Aikido-ka.

  • redbeetle you are right, but in this video you can see the base to a better tehnique,a technique which can defeat the kind of attack you are talking about.

  • The way I was tought in the Army was to come in with your hands (under his arms) and deflect his out. Then hit him in the neck with both hands.

  • Yeah these people are profesionals man, better than you

  • ok ok

  • @wildbill6976 So, what mr Spock does to put people to sleep is just fantasy? lol. I actually thought that karate experts were capable of doing that though but I guess there's no such technique, is there? tky

  • @worldatmyfingertips7 There are several techniques for applying pressure on the carotid artery. None will cause your aggressor to "instantly" faint, but they will progressively lose any lucid thought/the ability to react until unconsciousness.

  • nice Technique :D i really like it :P

  • In my aikido dojo, I've not been taught this technique (yet), but just from how he's performing it, I'm certain it's effective.
