McCain is HARDLY what people like you call a "war hero." Being a POW doesn't make you POTUS material. Also, crashing 5 jets in training before being shot down in your 6th in a combat zone is hardly a stellar military career.
I am an Iraq vet, and a lot of my friends from the Army wouldn't ever define themselves as conservative so speak for yourself.
YOU probably never served in the military let alone be in a combat zone so again SPEAK FOR YOURSELF.
