HAHAHAHA! I met these guys at the Elite Training Clinic they did in the UK, before they all went off to Worlds. Awesome, happy people!
-
I hope you will be back to Kaohsiung again!

yeah cate!

thanks your share

They will probably end up in Taipei rather than Kaohsiung which again demonstrate this ridiculous name forced on the Taiwanese people by the international community that kowtowed to communist China.
-
Well if the UPA changed the name to Taiwan then people would have difficulty looking up team results on the web. Also, Taiwan is more of a state than a city, so your Olympics analogy would be Atlanta, American Georgia. So there.

If they are given a choice, they wouldn't use the name of "Chinese Taipei". The political situations add to that complexity. You can look up why the name of "Chinese Taipei" is used. Saying the game is hosted in "Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei" is just as ridiculous as saying Olypmics was held in "Atlanta, American Washington DC".
HAHAHA
It seems you enjoyed the KARAOKE.
That's what we Taiwanese do all the time when traveling by bus.
And actually "Chinese Taipei" is not the Nation's name of our country.
We only can use the capital's name to join international athletic games.
(Anyway that's a long story)
I'll be thankful if you change it into "Kaohsiung, Taiwan" or "Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Republic of China". Just as what Greenvilla80 said- you cannot find "Chinese Taipei" on the map

You missed the analogy there. Chinese Taipei (Not Chinese Taiwan), where Taipei is the Capital, some 100+ miles away from the city of Kaohsiung for the World Games. So the correct analogy IS "Altanta, American Washinton DC", where Washington DC is the Capital of the USA. I don't know about looking result on the web because as long as you are in the right place, it should be fine. But how about atheletes getting tickets to Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei?
