the original is the Italian/Neapolitan 1956 song "Guaglione". A great version from a great singer/diva.

Yes, she was actually some sort of "the mother of them all"...
This late fifties song (this is an old re-do here, already) pioneered the "hammer, hammer and hammer" way to sell records, on radios.
In mean time acting as a sonore 'mood setling' jingle for the radio themselves, hoocking and hammering, as they played it (eventually coarsely cut) so many times each and everyday.
People from the era still remember how massive it was, especially this "Bambino."
