  • @FreedomInAmerica Cool story bro. But I think you'd be better off sticking to expounding anti-muslim rhetoric on an easy propaganda video like "muslim hate" rather than on a video like this one. You'd find more support there. The handful you've mentioned winning the award does not discredit the truly worthy past and future laureates. It would be equally stupid to see it from the other extreme - Obama must be just as worthy as Martin Luther King for being honored the title.

  • President Carter got the peace prize too. You know Obama was nominated for the Nobel Peace prize twelve days after taking office. Upon acceptance of winning it, Obama was praised by the committee, "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy". . They also gave the peace prize to Yasser Arafat, the leader of the PLO, the best known terrorist organization on the globe. This is like giving it to David Duke, the former Grand Wizard of the KKK.

  • @irmula20 Its good for some people, but not all can repay it becuase the rate is sometimes as high as 28% so its not good for all. just so u know

  • @irmula20 Its good for some people, but not all can repay it becuase the rent is sometimes as high as 28% so its not good for all. just so u know

  • @hamidmushtaq dear u should go to bangladesh and stay with the SHGs supporting the grameen model. there is 98% repayment rate and it is never the rate of interest that is an issue, it is the timeliness of credit and the quantum that matters when u have nothing else to fall back on... believe me... i know what i am saying

  • Mate, they don't just leave them alone. The borrower usually has to join a program where they meet with other business owners and they are taken care of. The high interest rates are justified by the cost of administering small loans, and 10 000 is a large loan, not a microloan. The concept still stands up under scrutiny.

  • how can lending at usurious rates be good? banking and interest is the root of all evil! nuf said!

  • The reason he has been given Nobel Price, is the Rotchschild and Rockfellers of the world want people to recognize that banking system is good! Because these people make trillion dollars out of it and make money out of thin air. Grameen Bank lends at 20%, it might have benefited like 30% of borrowers but what happened to others, who couldn't pay out their loans on time and their interest kept on increasing. at 20%, 10,000 becomes almost 25,000 in just 5 years! is this man worthy of nobel price?

  • I think it's great what he does, so many Grameen bank members are able to move out of poverty! It works no doubt, in any different culture or economic setting.
