before you watch: this is not to humiliate the guy: I'm here to give background to this.

the fellow: http://www.youtube.com/user/mikeeboy1000
the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t2Gccoq3WE

I also have to point out I was working with outdated material and thought at the time (i.e, up to yesterday): rereading on the subject has since brought me up to speed. I blame myself for that.

if I sound like I took some happy pills, its because I'm sleepy: I had to wait till now to post the video, since I don't want my mom or siblings to interfere. And don't worry, everything's working out, and the death was weeks ago, so we've had time to properly mourn.

"Abstract
Six independent lines of evidence point to the existence of heme-containing compounds and/or hemoglobin breakdown products in extracts of trabecular tissues of the large theropod dinosaur Tyrannosaurus rex. These include signatures from nuclear magnetic resonance and electron spin resonance that indicate the presence of a paramagnetic compound consistent with heme. In addition, UV/visible spectroscopy and high performance liquid chromatography data are consistent with the Soret absorbance characteristic of this molecule. Resonance Raman profiles are also consistent with a modified heme structure. Finally, when dinosaurian tissues were extracted for protein fragments and were used to immunize rats, the resulting antisera reacted positively with purified avian and mammalian hemoglobins. The most parsimonious explanation of this evidence is the presence of blood-derived hemoglobin compounds preserved in the dinosaurian tissues."

  • @Albukhshi Interesting^^

thanks for the info and good luck as geologist/paleontologist

  • @Regen1985

I was born and raised there; only been in the US 4 years; My dad is an Arab, who in turn was born and raised there (though he is not a Kuwaiti-citizenship there is based on lineage), since Grandad left Hebron to find work as an Imam and businessman. I'm in theory supposed to stay only for uni, but I decided to stay in the US: more use for geologists/paleontologists here than in Kuwait.

  • @Albukhshi

Thats good to know, thank you^^

you were in Kuwait? Now im curious :P

    Why were you in kuwait?

  • @Regen1985

oh, ok. that makes more sense. reminds me of Swenglish.

but don't feel bad about not knowing English: If you need help, just ask a friend who knows English; when I was in Kuwait, I had to help Arabs understand english journals, since many have almost no English in them beyond the basics.

besides, your English ain't that bad. you should see some of my friends from there XD

  • @monkeysbananna whoops. I meant to reply to Albukshi

  • @Regen1985 mehh, I haven't trolled in a while.

  • @Albukhshi

Its an Anglizism. Some People think its cool to say some words in english :P

I dont know why, maybe because english is the language of science (your lucky because of that^^ reading scientific papers in english HARD!!! XD)

oh, maybe that can help you^^

thanks for the link. luckily for ye, I already speak some German, so I can manage-no worries. and from what I understand in the wiki, it has little to do with the opposite of "influx"; one term relates to physiology, the other, economy.

by the way, you have any idea why Handy is pronounced "Hendi"? I figured that even as a loan word, it should at least sound German (I got it off my teacher, a Bavarian)
