  • So it has USB 3.0, but I only have USB 2.0 in my computer. Will it work?

  • @applepiewithtoast Yes, USB 3.0 is backwards compatible to USB 2.0.

  • Hey mobeen 1982

I think you don't know anything about electronics let alone harddrives.

There is just 3 hard drive manufacturers in the world: Seagate, Western Digital en Toshiba.

These 3 make hard drives, all the others like Lacie take theses hard drives and put them in a casing and make them external harddisk with USB.

But the inside is always the one of the same 3 brands.

So if you don't know you should just shut up.

  • @Shakazuloeman do you know what HD is used by LaCie? I want to change to a different brand, because my Western Digital is terrible. Lost everything twice. I don't want to have anything to do with WD if possible. Thanks

  • What do you guys think of this product??? How about the P'221?

  • congratulations for the video as it is called the soundtrack? thanks

  • @Shakazuloeman Well, good to know ;-)

  • @87solarsky

Do you read the commentjes here?

    I don't think so.

Samsung sold their harddrive business to Seagate and Hitachi sold their business to Western Digital.

So like i said before there are only 3 hard drive manufacturers left and one of them, Toshiba only makes 2.5inch harddrives.

I don't understand why you reply before doing some research on Wikipedia or Google.

So there are only 2 comparable harddrive manucaturers left and 3 if you want to count in Toshiba.

It's all through, just because they need to file some paperwork doesn't mean it's not through.

Why do you think all hard drive manucaturers are selling their business?

It has a reason, even if it doesn't go through after a while another manufacturer will buy them.

The harddrive market is a cutthroat market, you need to be really big to be able to compete by buying in large quantities.

Thats the only way to keep the costs down.

In the end Toshiba will also sell their business.
