Basic Drop Earrings with beads

For this demonstration, I will be using 10mm black and 8mm milky white round Czech glass beads to match the basic strung necklace. Ensure the headpin fits through the beads, and the head of the pin is large enough not to slip through the bead hole. If the bead hole is too large you can add a small bead such as a seed bead onto the head pin to solve the problem. Following this, thread the large black bead onto the pin and the white bead on top of that. After the beads are threaded on, you should leave approximately a 8mm- 1cm space at the top of the pin and cut off any wire above that with your memory wire cutters. Hold the headpin 1mm above the last bead with flat nosed pliers and turn the tip of the head pin to a ninety degree angle. Then, using round nosed pliers, hold the tip of the headpin and twist your wrist towards you, forming a round loop. Next, take the loop on the pin that you have just created and hook it into the loop at the bottom of the earring wire. Many people attach things to their ear wires by opening the loop at the bottom, however doing this can weaken the loop and increase the risk of breakage. So for this technique, it is best to leave a gap in the loop on the top of the head pin, and close that up only after it is attached to the ear wire. Repeat the same for the other earring and there you are, you have a pair of simple but beautiful earrings to match youre necklace!
