I have come to realize that even if you don't call correctly the deer in the area will stay because they are very curious creatures. For example I was stalking a buck while he was chasing a herd of doe, and i made a long doe bleet unlike any of the instructions anyone would give you. This stopped the deer in his tracks and made him turn around which gave me a chance to take the shot.
