This is a song I wrote a couple years back for my mom's 50th birthday. Pretty much, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. ^__^
I also sang it at my Nanny's (my mom's mom) funeral. It's a song that means a lot to me, especially since it's the first song I've ever written myself completely. All my other original songs are half finished. XP
Mothers:
A mother's love is pure and strong
Despite her children's ways
She may dislike what her children do
But love for them will stay
Though her children whine and scream
And drive her out of mind
Though her teenagers rebel
The same old love they'll find
A mother is someone whose love will not ever turn
For her love for her child is stronger than fire's burn
What love so strong
A mystery
As her children discover when they show love to her.
*instrumental*
When her children move away
And many years go by
When they look back on those years
They'll miss her by and by
A mother is someone whose love will not ever turn
For her love for her child is stronger than fire's burn
What love so strong
A mystery
As her children discover when they show love to her.
A mother is someone whose love will not ever turn
For her love for her child is stronger than fire's burn
What love so strong
A mystery
As her children discover when they show love to her.
When they show love to her.
