That is some terrible cable management. Someone actually paid you to put that together? The second machine sounded like a wire was hitting a fan also. You should really invest some time into cleaning all those up.

@sonicgearHD its the small stock heasink, the guy didn't have enough to get after market, so no oc for him, before i shipped out to him though i oc a bit to 3.8ghz was a beast as fast as my q8300 at 3.5ghz, was stable as long as i had the room temp below 18C

@m41c0ml1n3 nice temp though, my pc running with temp 28+, so damn hot, ahaha but my g.card running with 30 celcius, i want buy a new heatsink but not so sure about what type im going to buy, any suggestions?

@sonicgearHD gonna be tough caz you usein the old p4 socket 478, and useing the factory case, so the best heatsinks won't fit in your case, like the Tuniq Tower 120 Universal CPU Cooler 120mm. so i would go with either Scythe SCSMZ-2000 92mm, or the TR2TT TR2-M12 80mm. all can be found on newegg.

is this cpu just as good as the 955 black edition four core? and how does the cpu hanlde mulittasking and gaming

@yz509 its right up there on my q8300 in muilt tasking, but then again my q8300 is oc to 3.5ghz the 840 is only 3.2ghz, and as for gameing its no i7, but you won't notice a difference from any other quad.
