Can we please in the Name of JESUS can we stop compareing our leaders to each other. Bishop Owens had his time NOW its Bishop Blakes time lets pray for our leader and let God be God.

we never really appreciate the contribution of a great person until they are gone. Bishop Owens was a gift to the world. The world and the church was better because he was here. God bless his memory.

I love Bishop and will forever miss him, Central Georgia will never be the same. God blessed us by sending a wonderful Saint to lead us in a time of confussion and discord. This was one of the few true leaders still giving water freely at the well. WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU BISHOP, REST IN PEACE. Sis. Vickie...........

@CHARA523 because the church wanted Bishop Patterson in..they wanted a change. Bishop Owens was the only bishop that didn't serve until his death. He's outlived Patterson though...I think God did that part on purspose to show us something.

I remember being at that service during my freshman year of college at LeMoyne-Owen College. History will record Bishop CD OWens as one of the greatest orators and leaders of our time and in particular the COGIC.

this was a great service from the beginning to the end. I tell many all the time that the White & Gold Church had a special anointing in that place.
