i just can't seem to find a 45 suppressor that would suppressed when shoot dry..to sound like you are shooting a suppressed 22lr using sub-sonic..with all the technology and cnc machine,it's beyond me..maybe all the makers woory about how short, light and small so shooter could see the pistol sights..and forgot the silencer were made not only to suppressed sound ,but for close shooting no sight needed..quietess shhhhhhhh..john..what would it take to make a 45 suppressor to sound like a 22..dry.
@skariaxil Im assuming he means that because .45 is already subsonic and cycles the weapon that there is less to be done in making sure the weapon cycles. unlike some other calibers and suppressor manufacturers where you gotta play to find a round that is quiet and cycles
Not so much. The .45 quite large, so it needs large holes in the suppressor's baffles which let the gas out faster. Hearing safe .45 suppressors are not easy to keep small.
The Knight's armament suppressor is THE coolest looking suppressor out there, I wanted one for many years, however with companies like silencerco performing better dry and wet for a cheaper price my money has to go somewhere else. Knesek Guns' horrifying customer service and dishonesty didn't help either. Still waiting on my refund so I can buy an osprey, AAC is a good company as well with the tirant it was a hard choice, but you can holster a Osprey.

@89jdm7m I read that the Mk23 is designed to handle hot loads of .45... is there such a thing as super sonic .45 ammo?

Standard .45 acp travels at 855 fps...that's why it is one of the easiest calibers to suppress
ViZer0iV 2 years ago
what velocity are these rounds traveling at?
