May I just say how grateful I am that there are people like Rachel Portman out there who decided to become composers and bless us all with her visionary music. This woman has a true gift of taking an emotion and a scene and melding and fusing it with the most perfect sounds. She never ceases to amaze me.

She seems to have themes that run through all her music. Cider house rules and Emma sound very similar.

I agree with you guys and ladies - The Cider House Rules is absolutely outstanding and captures the spirit of the music perfectly.. And you know, I've never heard of the Ratcatcher, but based on the music, I really want to check it out..
