69 Boyz are a platinum selling Miami bass and hip hop group originating from Jacksonville, Florida, but who work mainly in Orlando, Florida. The group was created by producers C.C. Lemonhead and Jay Ski (of Chill Deal, Quad City DJs and 95 South), and consists of rappers La Shaun Van "Thrill Da Playa" Bryant, Barry "Fast" Wright, Greg "Slow" Thomas, and Rottweiler Mike Mike. The name of the group derives from the fact that all of its members were born in 1969.

The group had success in the summer of 1994 with its first single, "Tootsee Roll", from their debut album 199Quad. The song went Platinum and reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #9 on the R&B chart. Other farily successful singles they have had include "Kitty Kitty", also from the album 199Quad, which peaked at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100, and 1998's "Woof Woof", written for the feature film Dr. Dolittle starring Eddie Murphy, and also appearing on their second album, The Wait Is Over. The song reached #31 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their debut album, released in 1994, was called Nineteen Ninety Quad, a reference to the year of its release. Nineteen Ninety Quad was a huge success in and around Florida, popular with Floridians of the generation of the album release time frame. Their second album, The Wait Is Over, came out in 1998, and their third album, 2069, in 2000.

  • It is a Bad Song..

Video is by far better than the song. Remember we are trying to give a little here and there and this SONG has a been request by many for a year now.

Even No Limit Records releases are not as good as Master P's earlier releases.

Another example of trying to make $'s of a fad of the moment I.E. : "Flavor of The Day"

Keep the comments coming even if the Song is really bad to make example of history on how Hip-Hop ended up in the way it is today.

    Peace

  • 69 boyz were not just about rap, but about the south as well, they represented Florida, but they showed respect and props to all cities and states. Their music was also about females having fun and their songs were made for people with kickass systems in there rides and parties and Go-Go clubs (Stripper style)
