The repair specialists at Deltronics have to be more than just technicians -- they have to be grief counselors, father confessors and even detectives as well. Sometimes, customers will walk into Deltronics electronics repair service
with their head hanging low, avoiding all eye contact, pretending to not know what, exactly, happened to their beloved Otari MX-5050, that it just "stopped working."
Sometimes, you just put your head down, get out the rubber solvent and lube grease, and go to work.

love love love love this! Very well spoken. I just picked on of these up for $50 and finally got to hear it in action. Aside from a little crackling in the pots which some contact spray will fix it works beautifully. I really appreciate how you go over the maintenance.

Never use an alcohol-based product on rubber! It will destroy the rubber! Use caikleen.

I had a MX-5050b mk2 also, shouldn't never sold it, but I still love my Tascam 52, though I think the Otari still sounds a bit better in some regards.

I picked up an Otari MX5050B2HD from a guy in front of a pawn shop for $40! :D All it needed was a good cleaning and to replace the bulbs in the VU meters. <3
