AMR Corp. (NYSE:AMR), parent company to American Airlines, delayed a first-time route from Chicago to Beijing for the third time since its launch in 2008, citing that Beijing Capital International Airport has not yet authorized a landing slot.
AMR Corp. is "hopeful" to begin the route May 4th.
American Airlines has offered full refunds and flight rebookings to customers who were scheduled to fly on the cancelled route.
AMR Corp. is trading up 1.93% at $7.93.
